Review: A Guitar book that stays focused. The strength of this book is that it does not try to do too much. You will not find any theory or technical exercises. What you will find is the tablature for 12 old time fingerpicking songs. The book starts an easy arrangement of an Elizabeth Cotten song, “Old Papa”. From there the songs get progressively harder as you pick up new techniques along the way. There are 3 CDs that accompany the book. The CDs give detailed instruction on how to play the songs. If you work through the whole book and spend the time to thoroughly master the songs you will have a solid foundation to build on as a fingerstyle guitarist. – Guitar Hopeful/Amazon Customer Review
